FiveFourFive is working with Renoon to begin its Digital Product Passport journey and structure the product and supply-chain information that will support the project.
Founded in Milan by Luca Santeramo, also known as Sante, the brand describes itself as an Italian lifestyle company shaped by Italian aesthetics, craftsmanship and influences from around the world. While entering a new phase of expansion, it is also looking at how its internal organisation, supply-chain transparency and approach to product information can evolve alongside the business.
For FiveFourFive, the project is an opportunity to begin organising traceability data while exploring how Digital Product Passports can make the work behind each product more accessible to its community. It also creates an initial foundation for responding to the future Digital Product Passport requirements for textiles under the EU Ecodesign for Sustainable Products Regulation.
The first phase of the project will cover selected products of the FW 26/27 collection. Digital Product Passports will be accessible through a QR code on the care label and via the product page of each item.
The FiveFourFive team explains why the brand decided to begin this work now, the challenges it expects to address and the role Digital Product Passports could play in its next stage of growth.
From an operational and production perspective, the main challenge will be achieving comprehensive supply-chain traceability. Collecting reliable information from each supplier and reconstructing the product journey back to the origin of its raw materials will require both organisational and technological work.
The challenge will also be to translate technical and regulatory information into language that feels clear, transparent and engaging for our community.
We do not want the Digital Product Passport to be perceived simply as a compliance requirement. We want it to become a tool that builds trust and helps people understand the knowledge, processes and value behind each product.
FiveFourFive is entering a new phase of expansion. For us, growth is not limited to sales or entering new markets. It also means strengthening our organisation, increasing transparency and taking greater responsibility for how product information is managed.
Starting this work now allows us to structure our supply-chain processes around traceability from an early stage and establish a solid foundation for the brand’s future development.
We want transparency to become an integral part of how FiveFourFive grows, rather than something introduced only when regulatory requirements become mandatory.
For us, the Digital Product Passport represents more than a digital product identity or a compliance tool. It is a practical way to demonstrate transparency and turn each product into a direct channel of communication with the people who choose it.
Through the passport, we will be able to share information about materials, the craftsmanship within our supply chain and the attention given to different stages of production. It can create an experience where design and technology come together to make the work behind a product more accessible.
Over the next two or three years, we want FiveFourFive to be recognised not only for its style, but also for its responsibility and authenticity. We imagine a community that can scan a product’s tag, discover its story and understand more about how it was made.
The Digital Product Passport can therefore help us communicate quality, strengthen trust and bring the values we share with our community into the product experience.
We chose Renoon after carefully assessing the available solutions, both for its technology and for its approach to transparency.
We were looking for a company that could go beyond providing a technical tool and support us in turning product and supply-chain information into a structured process, while sharing our vision of more responsible growth.
The project with Renoon will help FiveFourFive organise product and supply-chain information into a structure that can be maintained across future collections.
The work will focus on defining the relevant data, establishing how it is collected from suppliers and connecting it with the corresponding products. This foundation will allow FiveFourFive to publish its Digital Product Passports and progressively incorporate the European requirements for textiles as they are finalised.
Renoon supports fashion companies throughout this process, from data-model definition and supplier engagement to Digital Product Passport implementation and publication.
